Guangzhou Shipping International officially delivered the world's first 1000-ton pure electric ship
On January 9, Guangzhou Shipping International held the signing and delivery ceremony for the 2000-ton new energy electric dump ship built for Guangzhou Development Ruihua New Energy Electric Ship Co., Ltd. This is the world's first completed delivery of 1000-ton pure electric ship, the completion of the ship also fills the world's same tonnage inland river dual-electric bulk carrier market gap.
It is understood that the ship was completed by the end of 2017 and delivered by the end of 2018. This is a special signing ceremony for the ship. The ship is 70.5 metres long, 13.9 metres wide, 4.5 metres deep, 3.3 metres draft water and 6 crew members. It is a straight-wing omni-directional propeller driven by two motors as its control and propulsion system. It has a loading capacity of 2,000 tons of inland river new energy electric self-unloading steel cargo vessel with a bucket structure. The cargo is loaded with electric coal and mainly sails in Zhujiang River. Inland waters, etc.
The ship is equipped with 26 tons of supercapacitor + Super high-power lithium batteries. The battery capacity of the ship is about 2400 kWh, which is equivalent to the battery capacity of 40 BYD's new E6 "pioneer" cars. The theoretical time for the ship to be charged is 2 hours, and the time for the ship to complete the loading and unloading of the whole cargo is about 2 hours. So when it stops at the wharf for loading and unloading of the cargo, it can be charged. The charging process does not delay the work of the ship at all. Because this type of ship will not cause any pollution to the environment in the course of navigation, it can also be used in passenger ships, ro-ro ships, engineering ships and other fields in the future.
The designed speed of the ship can reach up to 12.8 km/h (about 7 knots) and its endurance can reach 80 km. The ship adopts a fully enclosed cargo hold structure, which can effectively prevent the cargo carried from drifting and polluting the environment. In addition, the ship is equipped with domestic sewage and garbage collection system. During the voyage, no fuel is consumed, and zero emissions of carbon, sulfur and other exhaust pollutants and PM2.5 particles are achieved, reaching the highest level required by the Inland Green Ship Code.
